 2012 begins Tropical CE's 15th season of bringing you the finest optometric continuing education available combined with the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation experience you can have. Over 2000 optometrists from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, Aruba, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Grand Cayman Island have attended the past 39 meetings. They came together for a time of education, camaraderie, fun and relaxation.
Join us for the upcoming season where you will hear the most knowledgeable and engaging speakers who deliver the most up-to-date information on primary eye care, diagnosis and management of ophthalmic disease and therapeutic drug use. At each event you receive 20 hours of cutting edge COPE approved continuing education.
Most meetings begin with a Saturday evening cocktail reception around the pool. This is a great time for seeing old friends, meeting new ones and getting your Tropical CE experience off on the right foot. Sunday provides you with a day to enjoy yourself either at the beach, pool, or one of our optional activities. Classes of 5 hours each day begin on Monday morning. The afternoon is open for fun. Join the group activity for the day, perhaps snorkeling on a catamaran or riding horses down the beach. Take off on your own for a round of golf or just put your feet up in a hammock with a good book. Classes are held again on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday is another free day. Join us in the jungle as we float down the river through a set of caves or go sailing on an ancient wooden tall ship. Lectures begin again on Thursday afternoon and finish on Friday morning giving you the option to stay an extra weekend. We recommend a minimum of a Saturday to Saturday stay.

In 2012, we had an event in our ever popular Belize location. As our attendees would have it no other. St. Thomas was our second event of 2012, where we returned to the newly renovated Frenchman's Reef Marriott.
The remainder of our 2012 schedule includes a Scotland event in June, which is available for both golfers and non-golfers. We will stay at the Fairmont, located just outside of St. Andrews. The last event of 2012 will be in the Bahamas, as we visit Atlantis on Paradise Island for the week of July 4th.
