Tropical CE has been dedicated to bringing optometrists cutting edge continuing education combined with exotic tropical destinations since 1997. You will enjoy the nation’s top lecturers while scuba diving in warm crystal waters, zip-lining through rain forests, repelling down waterfalls, or simply enjoying a book on the sands of the world’s most pristine beaches and top resorts. All of this while obtaining twenty hours of Cope approved education.    Stuart Autry has been working diligently since his purchase of Tropical CE to see that it would continue with the same style, energy, and excellence that founder, Dale Allen O.D., PhD, had created. As many of our past attendees have expressed, Dale would have wanted Tropical CE to continue on in the same tradition. Stuart's wife, Jill Autry, OD, RPh is an optometrist at Eye Center of Texas in Houston and lectures nationally on ocular disease and phamacuetical topics.    All meetings begin on Saturday evening with a cocktail reception around the pool. This is a great time for seeing old friends, meeting new ones and getting your Tropical CE experience off on the right foot. Classes of 4 hours each day begin on Sunday morning. The afternoon is open for fun. Join the group activity for the day, perhaps snorkeling on a catamaran or riding horses down the beach. Take off on your own for a round of golf or an ATV ride. Classes are held again on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. Wednesday is a free day. Join us in the jungle as we float down the river through a set of caves or go sailing on an ancient wooden tall ship. Lectures begin again on Thursday afternoon and finish on Friday morning. We recommend a minimum of a Saturday to Saturday stay. We would also like to take this opportunity to inform our past attendees of the minor change from "Tropical Sea E" to "Tropical CE."  Due to several doctors confusing us with a cruise seminar, we thought this simple change would allow us to avoid any further confusion in the future.
